Family Fresh Market recently donated 300 Easter meals, each of which will serve a family of four, to the United Way St. Croix Valley Food Resource Center.
“We are very fortunate to be able to help those in need in our community,” said Herman Raboin, Family Fresh Market store director. “The need for assistance is increasing daily, while at the same time food banks and shelves are receiving fewer donations.
“At Family Fresh Market, we wanted to do our part to make a difference for those struggling with hunger in the Hudson area and hope this donation will help.”
John Coughlin, executive director of United Way St. Croix Valley, said the donation was very timely.
“With the current economic situation, a donation of this size, specifically to help those not getting enough to eat in the Hudson community, is very important,” Coughlin said. “We can’t thank Family Fresh Market enough for this generous donation.”
Family Fresh Market, 2351 Coulee Road (www.familyfreshmarket.com), is owned and operated by Nash Finch Co.
