Letter: Kaisersatt should resign

There is an unwritten rule of decorum for elected board members, never personally attack the tax payers by name. Dear Editor,

There is an unwritten rule of decorum for elected board members, never personally attack the tax payers by name. While Mr. Shaw may have landed a shot below the belt with his reference to Mr. Kaisersatt’s living conditions, this does not excuse his personal attack against a private taxpayer’s integrity.

Anyone who runs for a public board position accepts the risk of public criticism, as difficult as it can be times they must not engage the critics by name thus demining the integrity of the board.

Dozens of school districts across the state are laying off teachers and trimming the fat during this economic recession, it seems the school board is in a position of strength with the current teaches union contracts. A fair proposal might be no teacher layoffs if they accept a modest pay cut.

I am not sure if Mr. Kaisersatt is worthy of our trust with tax payer dollars.
