A town of Troy man charged with five felony counts in connection with an investigation into sex assault of a child will return to court for a preliminary hearing May 26.
Craig F. Ahlman, 41, was also ordered to post a $50,000 signature bond during an April 28 hearing in St. Croix County Circuit Court.
Ahlman filed a change of address with the court to Minnetonka, Minn.
He was charged with two felony counts of sex assault of a child under 16 and three felony counts of possession of child pornography April 20.
The criminal complaint alleged Ahlman inappropriately touched an 11-year-old girl on two occasions in 2008 around Thanksgiving and before Christmas when she was staying at his town of Troy residence.
A search warrant was issued and a forensic examination of Ahlman's computer in a basement office revealed files containing child pornography, the complaint said.
Ahlman and his wife, Christine, operate a wedding photography business out of their residence. Christine told investigators she and her husband have separate offices in their home at 525 90th Street.
