Ledesma faces homicide charge; appears in St. Croix County

A man charged with first-degree homicide in the death of a young Hudson woman made an initial appearance in St. Croix County Circuit Court Friday afternoon not far from where the woman's body was discovered last fall.
Christopher Soriano Ledesma, 29, was charged after the body of Kelly Lynn Dahm, 19, was found at 10:24 p.m. Sept. 20 in a car abandon in the parking lot at the Government Center, which houses the courtrooms.
He appeared before Judge Eric J. Lundell, who set a preliminary hearing date for May 18 at 9 a.m.
Ledesma was brought to court from the St. Cloud, Minn., State Penitentiary where his serving a five-year sentence on a felon in possession of a firearm conviction.
