Brett Favre is said to be looking into arm treatments which might let him unretire for a second time.
ESPN says the former Green Bay quarterback has consulted with well-known orthopedic surgeon James Andrews about fixing his partially torn right biceps tendon.
The two apparently talked about exercises in which the tendon would break off completely, thus letting Favre, 39, play without pain or surgery.
By all accounts, a relatively minor surgery would be involved with a rehab period of 3-6 weeks.
Rumors still persist that Favre is thinking about signing with the Minnesota Vikings, after the New York Jets released him last month.
