The LEED Professional Accreditation distinguishes professionals with the knowledge and skills to facilitate the LEED Certification process.
The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System encourages and accelerates global adoption of sustainable green building and development practices through the creation and implementation of universally understood and accepted tools and performance criteria.
Stevens Engineers is a civil engineering, land surveying and planning firm in Hudson that performed LEED design services for River Crest Elementary School in Hudson, along with the Maple Grove Ice Arena Expansion and the $60 million Duluth Entertainment and Convention Center. Popenhagen gained interest in working on LEED registered projects through her involvement with the River Crest project, which achieved LEED gold certification.
