Hudson Hospital & Clinics employee and Certified Nursing Assistant Lindsay Rees was a winner of the 2009 Wisconsin Hospital Association’s Employee Pride Contest.
The contest is designed to celebrate the health care workforce and recognize their “truly amazing” contributions to the health of their communities, according to WHA President Steve Brenton.
In a 400 word essay, employees were asked to describe what led them to choose an occupation in health care, and why they decided to work in a hospital. Hundreds of health care employees statewide submitted essays. A committee at each hospital selected the winning local essay, and that person was honored at the recognition banquet May 7.
Rees won the local essay contest.
“Lindsay is a fantastic employee,” said Robin Melin, RN, manager, Inpatient Nursing. “She always connects with patients to provide great care. She’s really a gift to Hudson Hospital & Clinics.”
