Letter: Unhappy with flag-raising

Dear Editor,
I make it a point to honor our veterans. Both my parents served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.
Monday morning I attended the Memorial Day ceremony at the cemetery in Hudson. As a former Boy Scout I was embarrassed at the flag-raising ceremony. What is a fairly simple drill was made an absolute shambles.
I think it is the responsibility of the Scout leaders to have practiced this drill. It was apparent that there was either insufficient practice or none at all.
In the interest of gender equity I think that the Girl Scouts be given this responsibility next year. They might even practice.
