CITY OF HUDSON: ORDINANCE NO. 6-09RESTRICTED ZONES AND RESIDENCE RESTRICTIONS FOR SEX OFFENDERS
Notice of amendment to Municipal Code Chapter 187 - Peace and Good Order
Notice is hereby given that the City of Hudson Common Council, on June 15, 2009 adopted Ordinance No. 6–09 RESTRICTED ZONES AND RESIDENCE RESTRICTIONS FOR SEX OFFENDERS, amending Municipal Code Chapter 187 and creating Section 187-19 regarding sex offender restricted zones and residency restrictions for sex offenders.
The ordinance is a regulatory measure aimed at protecting the health and safety of children from the risk that convicted sex offenders may reoffend in locations close to their residences or places where children congregate or play in public, near schools, day-care centers and other places children frequent.
Chapter 187-19: Sex offender restricted zones within 150 feet of; and residency restrictions within 200 feet of schools, daycare centers, parks and other specified facilities and uses prohibited.
