Crews repairing pavement blowups on I-94 in Hudson

Crews will begin making permanent repairs to the eastbound lanes around 7 p.m. Thursday and work until approximately noon on Friday.

The extreme heat this week caused areas of pavement to buckle on I-94 near Hudson. On Tuesday, county crews made temporary repairs to the area, but further work is needed.

Beginning around 9 a.m. Wednesday, two westbound lanes of I-94 were closed while crews make permanent repairs to the roadway. They were expected to be there most of the day. One lane was expected to remain closed until approximately 4 a.m. Thursday.

Crews will move to the eastbound lanes around 7 p.m. Thursday and work until approximately noon on Friday.

Motorists should use caution while driving near the work zones.
