The annual eight-week Summer Art Camp has begun at The Phipps Center for the Arts.
During the first week of visual arts classes, almost 100 students enrolled in six class sessions – two art camps with instructor Karron Nottingham, a series of classes inspired by impressionist artist Claude Monet taught by Sylvia Benson, a nature journaling class led by Mary Perrizo and a series of pottery classes with Marjorie Wade.
Enrollment remains open for several upcoming classes for students ages 4-18. These weekly classes, which run through Aug. 14, are taught by practicing artists and arts educators and include drawing, painting, sculpture, mosaic, puppetry and more.
