The crowds are bigger this year as the Kansas City Chiefs hold their final training camp at University of Wisconsin-River Falls.

Several hundred fans have attended each practice so far and they’re constantly moving because it’s hard to see the players at times.

Chiefs’ president Denny Thum says many people have taken their summer vacations to enjoy River Falls if they haven’t done it in the past.

And he calls them great, die-hard Chiefs’ fans.

Kansas City has had its training camp in western Wisconsin for 19 years. But they’re moving to Missouri Western State University next summer to be closer to their fans.

The state gave the team $25 million in tax credits, to help build a new indoor training facility on that campus.

Thum said it was a great experience to train in western Wisconsin, but it will help the team to have its fans closer.
