HPD officer investigated
A part-time casual call officer with the Hudson Police Department is under criminal investigation in Washington County, Minn. according to HPD Chief Marty Jensen.
A part-time casual call officer with the Hudson Police Department is under criminal investigation in Washington County, Minn. according to HPD Chief Marty Jensen.
Jensen said Officer David Jensen, 25, of Hugo, Minn. has been placed on inactive status with the HPD. Chief Jensen told the Star-Observer that the officer is his nephew and that he was hired in April to work when additional officers are needed. The chief said his department will conduct an internal investigation but that he will not be directly involved in it due to his connection to Officer Jensen.
The Washington County Sheriff’s Department is conducting the criminal investigation but they have not released any details about what Jensen did.
David Jensen is a veteran who served in the Iraq war where he earned a Purple Heart.
