Pair shines at Road Cycling Nationals
Local Hudson racers Jordan Cullen, age 14, and Bjorn Selander, age 21, both had silver medal performances at USA Cycling Road Nationals in Bend, Or., July 28-Aug 2.
Local Hudson racers Jordan Cullen, age 14, and Bjorn Selander, age 21, both had silver medal performances at USA Cycling Road Nationals in Bend, Or., July 28 - Aug 2.
Cullen finished second in both the Road Race and Time Trial, and 13th in the Criterium for Junior Boys age 13-14, while Selander finished second in the Time Trial, third in the Criterium, and sevenths in the Road Race for Men age 18-23.
Cullen rides for Flanders/MBRC cycling team from Minnesota, and will be an 8th grader at Hudson Middle School this fall. He has been racing bicycles since he was 9 years old, and has won 16 state championships in road and cyclocross.
Selander rides for Lance Armstrong’s Trek Livestrong Cycling Team, racing across the United States and Europe. He has two USA National Cyclocross Championship Victories, one as a Junior in 2004, and another in Men age 18-23 in 2007.
