Has health care concerns

Dear Editor,

I know Rep. Ron Kind and Sen. Russ Feingold have gotten lots of comments on health care. I hope they will consider mine also.

I am 72 and extremely concerned about losing the private insurance I now have. I currently have the right to choose my doctor and the option to get services I and the doctor agree are needed. I would hope this could be made available to more Americans without government control of the entire insurance system.

Please take an honest look at Britain and Canada health systems and evaluate if they really are better. Ours can be made better without socialized medicine. The latest ploy of Nancy Pelosi accusing people angry and concerned about a healthcare program none of the Congress people are willing to be part of, is absolutely the height of hypocrisy and shows how out of touch congress is.

The concern is real. A congress drunk on power, creating a new society with them as the “elite” is a frightening picture. I believe the voters will speak rather loudly at the next election to both Republicans and Democrats who have forgotten that they are supposed to represent of all their constituents. They are not to act as Lords who vote themselves special retirement and health programs and order luxury airplanes when the rest of us are expected to pay more for electricity, drive crappy cars, wait for the government to say what and when as to health care treatments and kiss everyone over 70, with health problems, goodbye!
