Hudson students are above state ACT score
Hudson students taking the ACT test last year had a composite score a full point above the state average and the highest in the area, according to information released last week by the Department of Public Instruction.

Wisconsin scored third in the nation among the 27 states taking the test with a composite score of 22.3. Hudson’s composite score was 23.3. Minnesota had the highest score nationwide followed by Iowa.
Area scores by subject were:
—Reading — Hudson, 23.7; River Falls, 23.7; New Richmond, 22.5.
—English — Hudson 22.2; River Falls, 22.9; New Richmond, 21.3.
—Math — Hudson, 23.4; River Falls, 22.4; New Richmond, 22.2.
—Science — Hudson, 23.3; River Falls, 22.7; New Richmond, 22.
The composite score for River Falls was 23.1 and for New Richmond, 22.1.
The total number of Hudson students taking the test was 289, which is 67 percent of the grade 12 enrollment.
