Arrest made in connection with Wilson shootingJustin G. Rott, 26, Eau Claire, is in the Eau Claire County Jail on a probation violation charge. He is accused of shotting Tom and Maria Erickson in their home.
The St. Croix Sheriff's Department has made an arrest in the Aug. 1 shooting of Tom and Maria Erickson of Wilson.
Justin G. Rott, 26, Eau Claire, is currently in the Eau Claire County Jail on a probation violation charge.
Additionally, investigator have located Jessica Christner, who was being sought for questioning in this case.
An arrest warrant has been issued by Judge Eric Lundell in this case. Rott is charged with armed robbery with use of force, attempted armed robbery with use of force, armed burglary, possession of a firearm by a felon, impersonating a peace office to aid in the commission of a crime, first degree reckless injury and aggravated battery.
Rott has a long history of run-ins with the law, dating back to burglary charges in 1999. He's been found guilty of obstructing an officer, fourth degree sexual assault, receiving stolen property, speeding 35+ mph over the limit and resisting an officer.
He has several other charges pending against him from incidents earlier this year, including bail jumping, theft, driving a vehicle without the consent of the owner, retail theft, obstructing an officer and battery by a prisoner.
