New art exhibit opens

A series of exhibitions featuring work by area artists Kristen Arden (Minneapolis), Theresa Harsma (Owatonna, Minn.), Kasey Westra (Foley, Minn.), Pamela Valfer (Minneapolis) and Danelle Griner (St. Paul) is on view Sept. 11-Oct. 25, in The Galleries of The Phipps Center for the Art.

An free public reception is scheduled from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11. The artists will be present, hors d’oeuvres will be served, and acoustic guitar will be played by Joe Christensen (Hudson).

Galleries hours are Monday-Saturday, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Sunday, noon to 4:30 p.m., as well as one hour before and through intermission of all performances in The Phipps theaters.
