In case you haven’t driven through North Hudson lately, a tradition at the Village Inn has returned – pizza is again available at the North Hudson sports bar and grill.

After, Kozy Korner left the Village Inn kitchen for larger quarters across the street the restaurant has been pizza-less.

That all changed at the end of the summer when Village Inn owner Leigh Halvorsen was approached by Ron Jurissen, who offered to bring back pizza.

“It is all made fresh and you can build your own pizza or choose a popular combination,” said Halvorsen. Sizes include 10 and 14 inches as well as a 7-inch kid’s pizza.

Jurissen recommends one featuring sausage, Canadian bacon, onions, sauerkraut and banana peppers.

Also on the menu is authentic Mexican food every Thursday night prepared by chef Raul Navarro, who with a little encouragement will step out of the kitchen to offer salsa dancing lessons as well.

The Village Inn, ready for the fall sports and hunting season, still offers American burgers and an assortment of appetizers and themed evenings.

“Everything we serve is made from fresh ingredients, never frozen,” said Halvorsen.
