The trail system at Glover Park, 654 Glover Road, has a new information kiosk, located at the trail intersection of Eagle Pass and Eagle Trail, southwest of the south ball park outfield.

Boy Scout Bryce Dierke from Troop 140 in Hudson constructed and installed the kiosk over the summer as part of his Eagle project.

A detailed interpretive map that marks trail names and describes other amenities at the park is posted at the kiosk. Mark Daun, Troy Park Board member, created the map using laser engraving technology at Preco Laser, Somerset, where he is employed.

The trail system circles the park (Phase 1) and includes over 1.5 miles into the wooded bluffs of the western and northwestern section of the park (Phase 2).

Summit Loop was added in June and offers hikers a natural overlook at the highest point.

The natural habitat around the trail system includes native trees, woodland flowers, ferns, wild berries and wildlife. Eagle Trail and Eagle Pass are accessible per the American Disabilities Act guidelines.

Glover Park is open year-round to the public from 9 a.m. to half hour before sunset.
