Edna Gwin dies at 97
Longtime Hudsonite Edna H. Gwin, 97, died Sunday, Oct. 11, at the American Heritage Care Center in Hammond. She was active locally as a historian with the St. Croix County Historical Society, The Phipps Center for the Arts, and other groups.
Longtime Hudsonite Edna H. Gwin, 97, died Sunday, Oct. 11, at the American Heritage Care Center in Hammond.
Gwin was active locally as a historian with the St. Croix County Historical Society, The Phipps Center for the Arts (and its predecessor the Valley Arts Guild), Girl Scouts and more.
She was born Dec. 20, 1911, in Withee and married longtime Hudson attorney Hugh F. Gwin July 20, 1937. He died May 5, 2007.
Among the survivors are daughter Beth and twin sons Hugh H. and Dr. John F. Gwin. Hugh H. Gwin is a Hudson attorney.
The family is planning a memorial service to be held in several weeks.
