The Hudson Independent Business Association (HIBA) organized a door-to-door campaign in some of Hudson’s newer subdivisions to spread the good news about Hudson’s locally owned and independent businesses.

Each home visited received a reusable shopping bag with the HIBA logo and list of HIBA members. The theme was “‘Why Buy Local’ Economic Vitality!” The message was: Each dollar you spend at a local independent business returns three times more money to our local economy than a dollar spent at a chain — a benefit we can all bank on!

HIBA members include: Abigail Page Antique Mall, Art Doyle Spokes and Pedals, Back To Books, Bella Luce Boutique, Elan Clothing & Gifts, Ellner’s Custom Window Treatments & Closets, Et Cetera, First American Bank, Grapevine Interiors “At Home,” Hudson Area Chamber of Commerce, Hudson Bagel & Coffee Company, Hudson Flower Shop, Hudson Star-Observer, Knoke’s Chocolates, Lillians, Micklesen Drug, Phipps Inn Bed & Breakfast, Redmon Law Chartered, SEASONS on St Croix Gallery, The Nova of Hudson, The Phipps Center for the Arts, The Purple Tree and Winzer Stube.
