Dear Editor,
This past Saturday afternoon, we witnessed something very special happen in the gymnasium of Hudson Prairie Elementary School, where Shelby and Kym Lokken, their fellow Crowning Achievements board members and numerous other volunteers and sponsors presented a pageant showcasing several special young ladies from the area, Anna Boyd, Amanda Lorenz, and Aislinn Jackson.
With former Packer Esera Tuaolo providing both emcee duties and some impressive entertainment, the program included a dance piece by the Hudson Raidaires, two touching songs presented by River Falls' Ambassador Bethany Tunheim, and the appearance of numerous current and former pageant royalty from surrounding towns.
It was gratifying to witness the strong community support, which in fact necessitated coming up with extra seating to accommodate the crowd. Truly a great effort by all, and let's hope that this will be just the first of many to come.
