Jill J. Johnson, president of Johnson Consulting Services, announced recently that the value of the business decision impact she has provided now exceeds the $2 billion mark. Johnson, a 1978 graduate of Hudson High School, is in her 27th year as a management consultant and in her 22nd year in business.
Johnson derived this financial figure by evaluating the value of the business decisions her clients made because of her consulting work.
Elements taken into consideration to derive this figure include:
“It’s amazing to look over the past two decades of work and realize the significance of the business impact I have been involved with locally and internationally,” Johnson said. “Looking back on my career, it’s exciting to note that my clients are making multi-million dollar decisions, many of which exceed tens of millions of dollars.
“I love consulting because my work helps produce tangible items like a new senior living community or the successful turnaround of a failing business. Just as powerful are the projects on the other side of the pendulum that allow my clients to walk away from deals because my analysis and research proves that the market cannot support the revenues they were looking to achieve.”
A range of some of the clients and projects Johnson Consulting works with include: A Japanese physician hired Johnson to determine if his product could be profitably sold in the United States; a real estate investor upped his $2 million investment to $3 million upon research JCS provided; the president of one of the top private colleges in the Midwest hired JCS to provide a candid assessment of each graduate program within his University.
Johnson is the daughter of Toni and Bob Johnson of Johnson’s Body Shop (now operated by her brother, Jeff). Johnson graduated from Drake University and went on to earn an MBA, graduating third in her class at the age of 23.
