A River Falls man who received a package of drugs shipped to his residence has been convicted in St. Croix County Circuit Court.
Jacob M. Peterson, 19, 540 ½ N. Eighth St., entered into a deferred judgment agreement Oct. 23 on a guilty plea to delivery of marijuana. He was convicted of misdemeanor possession of THC and drug paraphernalia, sentenced to probation for two years and fined $208.
The charges resulted from a Feb. 6 search warrant conducted on Peterson’s River Falls’ residence. Court records said the search warrant was issued based on a confiscated package at a UPS warehouse in Texas that a K-9 unit had found to contain drugs and drug paraphernalia. A special agent posed as a UPS employee and delivered the package in River Falls.
The package was addressed to a Jack Anderson at Peterson’s address, but no such person lived there, court records said.
