A former St. Croix County deputy has been charged with four counts of receiving stolen property in Thief River Falls, Minn.
A former St. Croix County deputy has been charged with four counts of receiving stolen property in Thief River Falls, Minn.
Paul James Kezar will face charges allegedly involving thefts from homes, hardware stores and farm machine lots in the Thief River Falls area. Many of the items – worth a total of $50,845 – were found on Kezar’s property according to a criminal complaint filed in Marshall County District Court.
Kezar was a St. Croix County deputy from 2001 to 2002 and a Stillwater police officer from 2002 to 2005. Kezar, 37, had been hired in January at the Thief River Falls Police Department.
