Schauf gives vet address
Gabe Schauf, funeral director and cremation specialist for the O’Connell Family Funeral Homes and Countryside Crematory, addressed those paying respect on Veterans Day at the Northern Wisconsin Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery. Schauf served in the Wisconsin Army National Guard with Bravo Company 1-128th INF out of New Richmond/Rice Lake from 2001 to 2007. In 2004 his unit was deployed to Iraq. In Iraq, Schauf’s jobs included being a fire team leader, squad leader, Sergeant of the Guard, as well as truck and convoy commander while out on missions. His jobs took him into Tikrit, Balad, Mosul, and many other parts of Iraq. He earned an Army Good Conduct Medal, Army Commendation Medal and other awards for his service in the National Guard.
Agents earn ‘super’ honors
Three Hudson real estate agents have been recognized as “Super Real Estate Agents” by Minneapolis/St. Paul Magazine. Hudson agents recognized were: Jean Moore, Coldwell Banker Burnett; Claudia Noble, Keller Williams; and Brian Smillie, Edina Realty. Winning agents were graded using nine criteria: communication, customer service, integrity, market knowledge, negotiation, funding the right home, marketing a home, closing preparations and overall satisfaction. Sales volume was not a factor in the selection process.
