Melissa Deeg, D.D.S. purchased the Smile Dental practice in July of 2009. After a period of transition it was renamed Spring Creek Dental in October. Deeg, a South St. Paul native, graduated from the University of Minnesota dental school in 2003. Initially she worked for Metro Dental Care in Richfield and subsequently purchased a home there in 2005. In the meantime she also began working for the State of Minnesota as a contract dentist in 2004, a job she continues today, providing dental service to developmentally disabled patients.

The opportunity arose to purchase a practice in Hudson, so Deeg took the leap, purchasing the SMILE practice from Anthony Sanchez. She plans to move to Hudson, when the real estate turns around.

“We have retained some of the personnel and have all of the dental records of previous patients,” said Deeg, who together with five employees staff the office and provide patient service.

“I want people to know that we can take care of their needs if they were previously patients,” said Deeg. “We are welcoming new patients and feel our location is one of the benefits.” They are located just off 1-94, at 131 Carmichael Road, Suite 203 in The Carmichael Center.

“We are a general dental office,” said Deeg. “Our services include fillings, root canals, crowns, children’s dental care and tooth whitening. We offer top quality care with comfort. We want to make the patients comfortable.”

Deeg emphasized the focus is on patient comfort and care.

“I purchased the practice but in every other way it is a brand new office,” said Deeg.

Spring Creek Dental is open on Monday and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
