It was fun to read how Rev. Dan Bruch defends gay beliefs in a letter to the editor; however, just to start with the way the world is made, if we were all homosexuals, there would be no children. If that happened, the world would end.
In Genesis, Chapter 1 Verses 27 and 28 it says, “God created human beings, making them to be like himself. He created them male and female, blessed them and said, “Have many children, so that your descendants will live all over the earth.” (from the Good News Bible). According to this a male and a female have children. Two males or two females are not to have children.
In Matthew 19:4-5 Jesus says “Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female. And he said, for this cause shall a man leave his father and mother and cleave to his wife and they twain shall be one flesh?” Jesus did not say a man would cleave to a man or a woman to a woman. (King James Version)
Male and female were created for a purpose. They are to procreate and continue to populate the earth. Men and women were not made to burn with passion for their own sex.
In Genesis 3:16 God says to the woman, who was Eve, “I will increase your trouble in pregnancy … in spite of this you will have desire for your husband.”
Therefore, I conclude that men and women were created to have desire for the opposite sex. Any other behavior is not what God wants us to do on this earth.
That is my opinion. I feel any other act is adultery. Jesus spoke against adultery.
