The Milwaukee Bucks will go for their third straight win tonight, when they host Chicago.

The Bucks are 14-and-18, and they lead the Bulls by a half-game for the eighth-and-final playoff spot in the N-B-A’s Eastern Conference. That’s not a big concern yet, as the season has not reached the halfway point. But they might need a tie-breaker down the line, and the Bucks and Bulls are 1-and-1 against each other this season.

Bulls point guard Derrick Rose has been a thorn in Milwaukee’s side. He had 19 points and seven assists when the two teams last met – and he made a huge block on a Brandon Jennings’ shot when the Bucks lost by two at Chicago on November third.

The second-year Rose recovered nicely from a pre-season ankle injury, and he’s now Chicago’s leading scorer with 19 points a game and six assists.

Meanwhile, Bucks’ forward Joe Alexander practiced yesterday for the first time since he injured a hamstring before training camp. Coach Scott Skiles said he looked good.

Bucks’ center Dan Gadzuric also returned to practice, after being out since December 18th with a knee injury.
