A fire Sunday afternoon did damage to a home at 1901 Stonepine Bay. The home is owned by Vicki Wolff.

Hudson Fire Chief Jim Frye said the fire started in the basement of the structure. Fire and water damage was confined to the unfinished basement.

“The upper level of the home, however, did receive moderate to heavy smoke damage,” Frye said.

The call came in at 4:39 p.m. and the department cleared at 6:38 p.m. Frye said the department is still checking into the cause of the fire. The Lower St. Croix Valley Department was called to standby at the Hudson Fire Station while the HFD fought the flames.
