Trinity Academy Awards teachers in costume
Many of the academy’s teachers came in costume as some of Hollywood’s most beloved characters. The 2010 Trinity Gala, “An Academy Celebration” was Saturday, Feb. 6 at Kilkarney Hills Golf Club. Over 200 guests walked the red carpet for the ninth annual fund raiser for Trinity Academy. Over $70,000 was raised to help support Trinity’s preschool, elementary, middle school and daycare programs.
The highlights of the evening included:
Trinity Academy’s teachers came in costume as some of Hollywood’s most beloved characters.Cheri Buelow hosted the “Trinity Academy Awards”, a parody of the Oscars which added a touch of comedy to the evening. Humorous awards were given to various Trinity school and church members.The banquet hall was decorated with an old Hollywood flair including a red carpet, vintage movie posters, old movie reels, and Hollywood style lighting. More than 150 items were auctioned off including four vacations. Raffle drawings were held throughout the night as well.Jazz versions of Hollywood movie themes complimented the décor and entertained the guests.Trinity Academy provides the Hudson area with preschool and elementary school and daycare. Through its numerous programs, Trinity Academy reaches children from six weeks old through eighth grade and serves over 600 families.
