Kevin Wayne Johnson, age 19, recently of Hudson and formerly of St. Joseph, Mo., died as a result of injuries sustained in an accident on March 17, 2010, in Hudson.
He was born the son of David and Dawn (Andrews) Johnson on June 15, 1990, in Rochester Hills, Mich. Kevin was a 2009 graduate of Central High School in St. Joseph, Mo. He worked part-time at Burger King and was involved with the ROTC program, the cross country team, and SADD. He was a respectful young man who was proud of being an Eagle Scout and aspired to be a church missionary. He loved trivia and his silly sense of humor will be missed by all who knew him.
Kevin will remain in the hearts of his father, David (Amanda) Johnson of Hudson; mother, Dawn (Michael) Ramirez of Phoenix, Ariz.; four siblings, Amanda Johnson of Casa Grande, Ariz., David "DJ" Johnson Jr. of Hudson, and Esperanza and Brian Ramirez of Phoenix; grandparents, Robert Johnson of Dededo, Guam, Aaron Smith of St. Joseph, Christine and Norman Andrews of Madison Heights, Mich.; great-grandma Andrews of Madison Heights; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Janice Johnson and Lillian Smith.
A funeral service will be held for Kevin at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 24, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 545 Stageline Rd., Hudson. Interment will follow in Willow River Cemetery. Visitation for one hour prior to the service at church.
