Members of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 712 Grandview, staged an Easter Vigil beginning Friday afternoon and continuing until Easter morning.

Members of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 712 Grandview, staged an Easter Vigil beginning Friday afternoon and continuing until Easter morning. Guarding the “tomb” on Saturday morning were Bob Ring, left, and Don Benisch. The event involves about 25 people including guards and people who worked behind the scenes. Ring organized the event after seeing a similar vigil in Madison. This is the fourth years that Emmanuel has performed the vigil.
