The Hudson Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a man suspected in the assault of a woman jogger near Lakefront Park last week.
According to HPD Det. Shawn Pettee, the woman was jogging on a walking path just north of the bath house in the park at 11:15 p.m. when the suspect attacked her and attempted to sexually assault her. While he was on top of her, the woman kept squirming and was able to elbow him and get away. The victim did sustain some bruising and abrasions.
The victim described the attacker as a white male, approximately 25-years-old, 5 feet, 11 inches tall with a thin build and stubbly beard. He was wearing a black hoodie and dark khaki cargo shorts. She also said he smelled like alcohol. He did not speak during the attack.
The police have released a composite sketch of the suspect. Pettee said, “This is not an exact replica, but rather a sketch depicting several features identifiable to the victim that resemble the suspect.”
Anyone with any information is advised to contact the Hudson Police Department at (715) 386-4771 or the afterhours telephone number at (715) 386-4701.
