The Raider boys’ soccer team scored three goals in the first 11 minutes and went on to a big 3-0 victory over Eau Claire North last Thursday, Sept. 30 at the middle school field.
Two days earlier they dropped a 3-0 decision at Rice Lake. This past Monday they lost to River Falls by an identical 3-0 score.
The Raiders will open WIAA regional play on Tuesday, Oct. 12. Check on-line at www.hudsonstarobsever.com for the site and opponent.
Last Thursday against Eau Claire North, Koyla Hawksford scored an unassisted goal in the opening minute and Zach Schendel scored six minutes later, assisted by Nick Jorgenson, to make it a 2-0 game.
The Raiders forced the Huskies into an own goal in the 11th minute to extend their lead to 3-0, and goalkeeper Max McKenzie stopped all four shots he faced the rest of the way for his second shutout of the season.
