Jacob Zachary Campbell, age 14, of Lakeland, Minn., died tragically Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2010, in Lakeland.
Jacob was born on March 21, 1996, at Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park, Minn., the son of Terrance Thomas and Lisa Kay (Ziemer) Campbell. He attended schools in Atlanta as well as Afton - Lakeland Elementary. Currently, he was a student at Oak-Land Junior High in Lake Elmo.
Jacob loved his family. He thoroughly enjoyed spending time with cousins and family at Woodland’s Resort on Leech Lake. Camping, water skiing, and campfires were the best. Space Camp in Alabama was also most memorable. He was a former Boy Scout and served community hours such as ringing Salvation Army bells or doing highway cleanup. He enjoyed tinkering and fixing things, especially if it had a circuit board or was electronic. His favorite pastime was playing Ultimate Frisbee. He and his brother helped form the group and best friends were formed from within.
Jacob will remain in the hearts of his parents, Terrance and Lisa; brother, Thomas, and sister, Elizabeth; maternal grandparents, Martin and Lois Ziemer; aunts/uncles, Theresa (Ray) Krueger, Karen (Pete) Eiden, Roxann (John) Lutterman, Ron (Jackie) Ziemer, Don (Francie) Ziemer; paternal grandparents, Dennis and Jean Finke; aunts/ uncles, Shelley (Warren) Olson, April (Todd) Hartzler, Dusty (Jackie) Finke; as well as many cousins, relatives, and countless friends.
Celebration of Jacob’s life will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 16, at Woodbury Lutheran Church, 7380 Afton Rd., Woodbury. Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery in Lakeland. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 520 S. 11th St., Hudson. Memorials are preferred.
