Lend a hand at the HMS forest
All hands will be welcome Saturday at the first Hudson Middle School Forest Service Day Event.
All hands will be welcome Saturday at the first Hudson Middle School Forest Service Day Event. Volunteers will be working on buckthorn removal and tree mulching. It is also an opportunity to learn how to identify and eradicate invasive species to improve habitat biodiversity.
The event runs from 10 a.m. to noon. Volunteers should wear sturdy shoes, gloves and long pants. Tools needed include hand saws, loppers, shovels and wheelbarrows. Contact Cindy Landers or Eric Wickstrom at the Hudson Middle School for more information. Call (715)377-3820.
