Starting the week of Nov. 15, the Hudson Town Hall will be closed on Thursdays. Previously, the town hall was open Monday through Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The closure comes because of the resignation of Deputy Clerk JoAnn Wert, who will be moving from the town hall to another place of employment.
Scout land
Town of Hudson Board approved a plan presented by the Girls Scouts at the meeting Tuesday, Oct. 26. The Girl Scouts of America presented a CSM for the area around 965 Alexander Road for two lots, one on the north side and one on the south side of the road, to connect to adjoining properties held by the Girl Scouts.
The board voted 4-1 to pass the measure, with Town Chair Jeff Johnson being the only vote against.
“I’m not voting against it, but I just don’t like it,” Johnson said. No official reasoning for the two-lot CSM was presented at the meeting.
Library
The board re-affirmed that the town will increase the Hudson Area Joint Library budget by 0 percent for the coming year. The library had been asking each municipality for increases next year in hopes of increasing hours and staffing.
