Hudson students “Stuff a Truck” for the food shelf

The annual “Stuff-a-Truck” campaign netted 13,000 pounds of goods for the Hudson Food Shelf earlier this month.

The annual “Stuff-a-Truck” campaign netted 13,000 pounds of goods for the Hudson Food Shelf earlier this month.

County Market sends a truck to collect the donations gathered by students at their schools. This year they made stops at all of Hudson’s public schools and at St. Patrick’s.

To make it little more interesting, several schools participated in the first “Stuff-a-Truck” sculpture competition. Students created sculptures with the items donated before they were loaded into the truck.

“We are very pleased with the donations this year for the Hudson Food Cupboard. Special thanks to all the schools — students and staff,” said County Market manager Dave Olson.
