Gymnasts win Big River Conference opener over Rice Lake
The Raider gymnastics team bounced back from a disappointing loss to Red Wing in its season opener Dec. 7 by defeating Rice Lake in the Big Rivers Conference opener on Thursday, Dec. 16.

The Raider gymnastics team bounced back from a disappointing loss to Red Wing in its season opener Dec. 7 by defeating Rice Lake in the Big Rivers Conference opener on Thursday, Dec. 16.
Hudson defeated Rice Lake 125.2 to 123.75.
Hudson’s Amanda Baker took first in the varsity all-around competition with a total score of 32.325, while Sarah Monette turned in a 31.5 to finish in third place.
Baker also took first place on the uneven bars and floor, while Monette took second on the beam. Junior Toria Ferrell placed first on both the beam and the vault.
For the JV squad, sophomore Brook Miller took first place with an all-around score of 27.0.
The next competition for the Raiders will be the first home meet of the season on Thursday, Jan. 13, at Willow River Elementary School.
