First baby of 2011
The first baby of the new year was born at the Hudson Hospital Birth Center shortly after midnight on Jan. 1.

The first baby of the new year was born at the Hudson Hospital Birth Center shortly after midnight on Jan. 1.
Zephyr Derrick Schaitel, son of Neil and Johanna Schaitel of Baldwin was born at 12:31 a.m. at Hudson Hospital.
The new year’s baby weighed in at 7 lbs, 8 oz. and was 19 inches.
The couple noted that they were engaged on the Minnesota Zephyr dinner train, a special memory and name for their new arrival.
The couple received a gift basket, compliments of Hudson Hospital and Clinics.
