Hudson Booster recreational program
The Hudson Booster Recreational Baseball Program welcomes boys from ages 5-14 and girls from ages 5-18. The recreational program focuses on teaching the games of baseball and softball, skill development, teamwork and good sportsmanship. Like all Booster sports programs, it is designed to develop the total individual, not just the athlete. The recreational program emphasizes equal playing time for all participants. All recreational leagues emphasize learning the fundamentals of the game of baseball or softball, and having fun.
The boys’ recreational program consists of six leagues and the girls’ program consists of four leagues. Each league is defined by the age of the player as of Aug. 31 of the current year. Each team will have either two games or one game and one practice per week once the season begins. The days each league plays will be determined by the number of teams in each league and the available fields.
The junior, senior and major leagues of both boys’ and girls’ programs offer tournament teams. These teams provide the experience of playing other communities in a tournament atmosphere. The tournament teams provide an opportunity for players who are interested in additional competition, as well as those considering trying-out for the competitive program in the future.
The following programs are offered in the Hudson Booster recreational program:
