Middle and high school band concerts set

The Hudson Band Department will present two combined middle school and high school band concerts Thursday, March 3. There is no charge for the concerts.

Performing at 6:30 p.m. are the two seventh-grade bands and the high school Symphonic Band. Playing at the 8 p.m. concert are the eighth-grade band, the high school Varsity Band and the high School Wind Ensemble.

The seventh-grade “1-3-5” band will perform “Castles and Dragons” and “Night Flight of the Gargoyles.” The seventh-grade “2-4-6” band will play “Groovee!” and “Flaming Arrow.” The Varsity Band will play “A Childhood Hymn” and “Arabian Dance.”

The Wind Ensemble will perform “American Fanfare” and “Elements.” Performed by the Symphonic Band will be “Song for Lyndsey” and “Symphonic Episode.”

The middle school bands are conducted by Connie Root and Carl Meincke the high school bands are under the direction of Aaron Hilden and Ryan McCarthy.
