Rowing classes set
St. Croix Rowing Club is offering two separate Learn-to-Row classes this summer, June 16-19 or July 14-17 on the St. Croix River in Hudson. Learn-To-Row is open to adults who are competent swimmers and in good physical health. Space is limited to six participants per clinic and filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Scores ace at White Eagle
An Edina, Minn., man scored a hole-in-one at White Eagle Golf Club recently. Mark Gierach aced the 135-yard 13th hole. He used a pitching wedge.
Boosters set Golf Scramble June 14
The Hudson Boosters host a charity Golf Scramble Tuesday, June 14, at the Badlands Golf Club with an 11 a.m. shotgun start. The $75 entry fee includes golf, cart, lunch, steak dinner and door prizes. Teams will be comprised of four golfers. Entrants can register as a team, or individual registrants will be grouped to form teams. Prizes will be awarded for first and second low team scores plus two random finish positions. There will also be other events, plus auction items and door prizes. Legion golf tourney set June 15
The 36th annual St. Croix County American legion Post’s golf tournament is scheduled Wednesday, June 15, at the Hammond Golf Course. The event starts with a 12:30 p.m. shotgun start. The fee of $60 per person includes golf, dinner and refreshments. All proceeds are used for American Legion programs that benefit area youth. Cheer, stunt camp set July 1
The Hudson Raider Cheer and Stunt Team is hosting a Summer Cheer Camp on Friday, July 1, at the Hudson High School west gym. Students ages kindergarten through fifth grade will be learning cheer chants and a dance to be performed at the Booster Days Parade. Cost per student is $25 and includes camp, parade, T-shirt and cheer bow. Registration deadline is Friday, June 24, at 3 p.m. Checks should be made payable to Hudson Cheer Boosters and mailed to Hudson High School, Attn: Suzi Robole, 1501 Vine St., Hudson, WI 54016. Volleyball camps scheduled
Hudson Volleyball Association/Croix Attack will sponsor two sessions of a summer volleyball camp. Both sessions will be held at the Hudson High School east gym. The first session for girls entering sixth or seventh grade with no experience is July 11-12 from 10:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Campers should arrive on Monday at 10 a.m. This camp is for beginner players. Campers will be introduced to the game of volleyball and taught the proper skills for a solid foundation. The cost is $65.
The second session is for girls entering seventh or eighth grade with experience. This session will be held July 12-14 from 5-9 p.m. Campers should arrive on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. This camp is for more experienced players. Campers will be introduced to more advanced skills and learn offensive and defensive strategies. Players will be allowed to begin specialist training (hitting, setting and libero). The cost is $85. Girls need to bring a full water bottle and a nutritious snack for breaks. More information can be found at www.croixattack.org.
