At the town of Hudson Board meeting Tuesday, June 7, the Hudson Boosters requested permission to construct a new ball field along Hwy. 12.

However, in order to accommodate this request the town board would have to amend ordinance 105-10, and that would require a public hearing to accomplish. The public hearing is scheduled Tuesday, July 5, at 5:30 p.m., prior to the regularly scheduled board meeting, during which the board will take action on the ball field issue with the input that they have received from the public hearing.

Wrap up

  • The board agreed to spend $250 to purchase a new radio for first responders, and another $250 for a new pager.

  • The board held a discussion on delinquent property of Midwest Tower. After a brief discussion, the board has authorized the treasurer to file small claims against the property.

  • Bethel Lutheran Church presented a site plan for a columbarium, an area where burial urns may be stored. After discussion, the town board approved the site plan for the columbarium that will be located at 504 Frontage Road.
