Lightning strikes local home

At 3:28 a.m. Tuesday, June 21, the Hudson Fire Department responded to a fire at 825 St. Croix St.
The fire was started by a lightning strike that hit an upstairs bedroom of the Ronald Lefeber home, according to Hudson Fire Chief Jim Frye.
“The bedroom sustained moderate damage and was filled with smoke. The exterior of the house was a little damaged as well,” Frye said.
The fire department was finished and cleared out by 6 a.m.
