A Minnesota man has been charged with a felony for recording nude pictures without consent by using a surveillance device. The criminal complaint alleged Hawthorn set up a pen camera in a Hudson residential bathroom to take nude images two woman residents.
A Minnesota man has been charged with a felony for recording nude pictures without consent by using a surveillance device.
Joseph D. Hawthorne, 24, St. Paul, posted a $5,000 signature bond at a July 6 initial appearance in St. Croix County Circuit Court. He is charged with one felony count of capturing an image of nudity without consent and a misdemeanor count of invasion of privacy with a surveillance device.

A preliminary hearing was set for Aug. 8 before Judge Scott Needham.
