Hotel rising
Work is progressing on a Comfort Suites hotel on Center Drive in the Ban Tara commercial development.

Work is progressing on a Comfort Suites hotel on Center Drive in the Ban Tara commercial development.
The City Council gave approval for the hotel to be built in September 2008 and the site preparation took place that fall. Then the 2008 financial collapse occurred and the project came to a halt.
A new ownership group based in Madison has restarted the construction, according to Dennis Darnold, Hudson’s community development director.
Site preparation for a Hampton Inn & Suites on the other side of Center Drive also happened the fall of 2008. There’s no word yet on whether that project will be moving forward.
