Youth camps and clinics have been in full swing the last few weeks with high school coaches and athletes teaching the fundamentals of their respective sports to youngsters. About a dozen members of both the high school boys and girls soccer teams are helping out at the clinics for players entering grades K-6, which runs through Thursday. At right, Raider basketball player Jessie Kirkwood high-fives a young camper after a shooting drill on the final day of the Hudson Girls’ Basketball Camp last Thursday morning at the high school. The camp, which began last Tuesday, was divided into three sessions each day for players entering grades 1-3, 4-6 and 7-9. Raider coach Ed Johnson and his players served as instructors. The Hudson Raider ABC Football Camp was also held last Tuesday through Thursday with some adjustments made to its scheduling due to the extreme heat.
